We have come to the end of another exciting season. 2024 will be remembered by most of us as one of the weirdest years as we saw the resurgence of the RB and a flip in the injury narrative as big new WRs were dropping left and right.
We topped things off as we entered into the post season with Mine are the deadest sneaking into the Winner's Bracket by taking down Division 1 with an unimpressive 14-14 record. In doing so Mine are the deadest managed to knock off the 6th place team in It's All In The Hips (15-13) who beat their own previous record for Best Regular Season Record in the Loser's Bracket. Through those last few weeks the hits kept on coming as our dark horse, Mine are the deadest, not only won a playoff game but managed to make it all the way to the championship! Unfortunately for them their Cinderella story ended there, but in doing so it made way for a new storybook ending for an unexpected finish by Metugdougiow.
In their fifth season, Metugdougiow managed their first ever winning season as they entered the playoffs at 19-9 as the 2nd seed. Late season showings from the likes of Bo Nix and Ladd McConkey helped to bring home the championship in an impressive turnaround from previous seasons. It was truly a case of worst to first as Metugdougiow had previously been in our bottom-3 in three of their four seasons including a Toilet Bowl Championship in 2022.
We'll see if they can continue their performance turnaround going into next year, but the past doesn't matter when you're holding that trophy in the end! Congrats to all on another great season!
